11:30 – Andrea Petkovic Win vs Shuai Zhang
I think this will be close, but I see Petkovic winning it. The German won their only previous meeting, and so she’ll be confident of getting the job done. Zhang, meanwhile, has never won a match here and I think that could play on her mind throughout this one.
11:30 – Caroline Wozniacki 2-0 Correct Score vs Varvara Lepchenko
Wozniacki should win this one in straight-sets. The Danish ace is in great form coming into this tournament after winning the Eastbourne title, and she has a dominant 6-1 head-to-head record over he opponent. Wozniacki will be too strong in this one, as she wins this one 2-0.
11:30 – John Isner 3-0 Correct Score vs Yannick Maden
Yannick Maden is making his debut in the main draw of grand slam event, but unfortunately for him I see Isner being far too good for him. Isner is the better player and he’s playing some of the best tennis of his career right now. I see the American advancing to the second round with a 3-0 win.
11:30 – Borna Coric 3-1 Correct Score vs Daniil Medvedev
Borna Coric is in fine form right now, and I see him making it a winning start to his Wimbledon campaign. The Croatian ace won the Halle Open title in the build-up to this tournament, while Medvedev has been struggling for form recently. I think Medvedev will take a set off the Croatian, but I think Coric will be more consistent throughout the match as he wins 3-1.
11:30 – Pablo Carreno-Busta 3-1 Correct Score vs Radu Albot
I think Carreno-Busta will finally get his first Wimbledon victory in this one, as he ends a run of three successive first round exits at this tournament. The Spaniard hasn’t been in great form this season, but he is the better player in this one and I think he wears Albot down throughout the match. I see Albot taking a set off the Spaniard, but it won’t be enough as Carreno-Busta wins 3-1.
11:30 – Sloane Stephens Win vs Donna Vekic
Sloane Stephens should prove to be far too strong for Vekic in this one. The American is a grand slam champion, and she’s in good form coming into this tournament after reaching the French Open final a few weeks ago. I see Stephens winning this one.
11:30 – Madison Keys 2-1 Correct Score vs Ajla Tomljanovic
Madison Keys is one of the top ladies on the tour these days, and I think see wins a close one here. These two have met twice before and both matches have gone to three sets. I see this being another three-set contest, and I think the added grand slam experience of Madison Keys will prove to be the decisive factor here.
11:30 – Roger Federer 3-0 Correct Score vs Dusan Lajovic
The defending champion will look to lay down a marker early this week, and I think he does so with a convincing straight-sets win. Federer didn’t drop a set throughout the whole of Wimbledon last year, and if he can do something similar this year it will have been a sensational tournament for the Swiss ace. Federer to win 3-0.
11:30 – Gilles Muller 3-0 Correct Score vs Michael Mmoh
Gilles Muller is the more experienced player, and I see him using that to his advantage here. Muller had a great run to the quarter-finals here last year, and it’ll be something he’ll be look to match this year. Muller hasn’t been in great form this season, but I see him being too strong for Mmoh in this one as he runs out a straight-sets winner.
11:30 – Milos Raonic 3-0 Correct Score vs Liam Broady
If Raonic is fit this should be a mismatch. The Canadian has a great record here and he’s extremely difficult to beat on this service. I’m going on the assumption that Raonic is fit, and if he is he should run out a comfortable 3-0 .
